I’ve been teaching chocolate at Santa Monica’s The Gourmandise School for years. Classes range from chocolate basics and candy making to more advanced bean-to-bar and professional techniques.
Airbnb Chocolate Experiences
Join me at the Chocolate Factory in Santa Monica for a guided tasting of craft chocolates from cacao-growing regions around the world. We’ll taste cacao beans, nibs, and handmade chocolates, learn how professionals taste and evaluate chocolate, and talk about the fascinating history of chocolate along the way.
The Santa Monica Chocolate Society
The Santa Monica Chocolate Society meets regularly to discuss and devour the finest, rarest, most delicious chocolates on earth. Founded by Ruth in 2017, the group of chocolate lovers gathers with chocolate makers, growers, retailers and other experts once a month. Hosted by The Gourmandise School, the interactive meetings are a great way to find like-minded chocolate fanatics and support each other in building chocolate passion, whether it’s launching a chocolate company or a simply giving language to the secret stash of bars in your chocolate cabinet.
